Previous barriers to composite components and structures no longer apply. For years our industry has been seen as a cottage industry. This has now changed. We have identified key areas of the business and split them into two fields; technical and production. This allows us to focus on a wider portfolio of applications and control our costs.

Technical:
Our technical centre embraces all our advanced CAD activities, which integrates with customers and allows us to design within known production parameters of a given application.

This also involves CNC machines that enable us to produce master models, high performance tooling and the production of bespoke “one offs” and low volume items.

Production:
Our production centre adopts the tooling from our technical department which is also fully supported with a detailed manufacturing spec and transforms single-figure components into medium and high-volume numbers.

Our production facilities - one in Coalville, Leicestershire, and the second in Bangalore, India, - are purely production focused. These do not look like regular composite technical facilities. It is simply a materials in, components out, production line environment.

CNC Machining:
Full CNC machining capability, our largest machine is 6m x 3m x 3m

Tooling & Jigs:
All tooling and jigs are designed and manufactured on site.

Ovens & Autoclaves:
epm:technology currently operates four autoclaves and 28 ovens

Finishing:
Craftsmen with years of experience personally handle every
epm:technology-produced component.
Full CNC machining of components once we achieve an appropriate volume.
Jigs for through holes, router jigs and bonding assemblies.

Paint:
epm:technology has its own paint shop enabling us to supply components in primer-only/primer/showroom colour finish.

QA:
Our parts are 100% inspected and where appropriate, we have QA checking fixtures and dimension reports.
