history

From tiny acorns, great oak trees grow... an age old adage which truly illustrates epm:technology. Established in 1996, CEO Graham Mulholland sat in his bedroom armed with a motorsport directory, a phone, pen, a piece of paper and an unquestionable thirst to succeed; a desire borne from his fierce competitive roots as an international canoe slalom athlete.

Within three years epm:technology had outgrown three factories, completed three acquisitions and chalked up sales in excess of £5m. Today, epm:technology employs 138 people in the UK, oversees a technical centre in Draycott, Derbyshire, and production centres in Coalville, Leicestershire, and Bangalore, India, which employs a further 85. epm:technology has a solid customer base of more than 120 companies embracing a truly international market place, not to mention a vast and diverse array of industry sectors; from Formula One and the World Rally Championship (WRC) to commercial vehicles and telecommunications.

As it surpasses its 10th anniversary, epm:technology stands at the forefront of the composite industry. With factories brimming with cutting-edge technology and working practices, epm:technology has single-handedly transformed the industry. While it leads the way in core composite component productivity, it has raised the industry bar to new levels with an operating CV boasting fully assembled structures and the management of fully programmed composite component builds.

While the first 10 years have been somewhat frenetic for epm:technology, steered by Graham’s vision to embrace the rail, defence and aerospace sectors, the next decade looks set to be equally as exciting...
